tenslashsix.com ’spinoff’

Thursday, December 22nd, 2005

So following my pot spinning photos yesterday, I’ve been inspired to start a spinoff website, spinthings.com as a photoblog of people (me, mainly) spinning things! Talk about random, right? Check it out regularly for pics of me spinning random sh*t.

Hiring gtk# developers.

Wednesday, December 21st, 2005

(shamelessly posted in feed categories picked up by some planets, etc. So sue me.)

So we at Medsphere are currently looking to hire one or two more gtk# developers in the near future. The job is in the orange county/LA area, doing gtk# programming on a frontend for some medical software. Unfortunately working remote is not an option, but what could be better than living in sunny southern california?

Need to demonstrate strong gtk+ skills, and at least passing knowledge of C# and gtk#, as well as experience with glade, and the rest of the assorted tools/technologies. C#/gtk# knowledge is not that pivotal, as any strong gtk+ programmer should be able to pick up gtk# in a heartbeat.

If you want more information, or want to send me a resume, shoot me an email at peter.johanson@medsphere.com. If you don’t hear from me immediately, I may be occupied with the xmas break, etc., so don’t stress out; I will respond, if somewhat belatedly.

pot spin

Wednesday, December 21st, 2005

From the guy that brought you breaking the china, I give you ‘pot spin’:

In other news, work has been fun but crazy. Plenty, oh plenty, to do. Gearing up for heading back east for a week for xmas. Heading out friday and coming back Jan. 2nd. Any folks from either back home upstate or in NYC that wanna hang out, drop a line.

Bought some goggles and gloves in preparation for snowboarding while I’m home, and again a week later out at Big Bear when I get back west. Hopefully my back, which i f*cked up royally the last run down the hill last winter, won’t give me issues.

In other news i spent *$64* to ship a package with a few xmas gifts east this morning. They were too bulky (but not that heavy) to bring with me on the plane. Hurrah for price gouging shipping companies. Bah humbug, how’s that for getting you in the spirit.

edible pacman, the hunt for the (red) roommate, etc

Monday, December 5th, 2005

Forgot to post this earlier; much fun was had at thanksgiving dinner, and the canned cranberry sauce (anyone that tells you that homemade stuff is good should be drawn and quartered) my brother and I brought to dinner was put to good use:

In other news, Todd left for SF today, which signals the beginning of my hunt for a new roommate. If anyone knows someone in the orange county/LA area looking for a place from january 1st (although potentially before that), through the end of march, let me know. I don’t bite, and am generally an agreeable roommate. Let the hunt begin!

Still can’t wait to head east and actually see snow.
